Courses |
Leg 1: solo. Runners aged 16+ on race day may compete in this leg. Leg 2: pairs. Leg 3: paired navigation. Leg 4: solo. For more details, please refer to the Event Briefing document. |
Age Restrictions |
Runners aged 16+ on the day of the race may compete in leg one only, otherwise it's 18+ for all other legs. Leg one will be flagged. Team Captain must ensure that signed Parent/Guardian Declaration forms are submitted on the day and displayed on front of envelope at Registration to show how many 16yr olds are competing. |
Pricing |
Entry is £180 per team. Unfortunately no refunds will be available but names of runners may be amended up until 9am on Friday 20th October. |
Recce Policy |
With the publication of the maps teams are free to start reccying the routes, however, please note the following: Parking - There is NO PARKING available at Braithwaite Lodge farm where the routes start from. Please also refrain from parking anywhere in the village, instead making use of the parking at the Primary School (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Z4rgHdFAQ9ydyVqR7) or the old road on the other side of the A66 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/hvkZuT6tqn4JU2Mt8). Start/finish field - This is NOT open access so please use the public footpath to head around to pick up the routes. Finish - The exact route into the finish field at the very end of the legs may not be exactly as indicated on the maps. We'll be cutting some bracken and removing a section of the fence to make it possible! |

Overnight Camping |
This will be available in the parking field for an extra £10 (regardless of 1 or 2 nights, and in addition to parking, so £20 all in). There is a water tap and portaloos. Pubs in the village for evening meals (booking advisable) or a short bus trip into Keswick. There is a bus back to Braithwaite at 10:15pm and 00:15am for those wanting to celebrate in the evening! |
Dale Head Race |
The Keswick AC organised Dale Head fell race at the Borrowdale Shepherds meet fall the following day (Sunday 22nd), so why not make a weekend of it and double up with this classic race! Evening 'do' |
Many of Keswick AC will be celebrating the hosting of the relays in town the evening after and you are most welcome to join! |
Food and Drink |
Entry fee includes food and drink for all competitors. Food and drink available for non competitors on site or in the local village. |
